BERTIE

Bertie is 7 years old and based in Elmswell, Suffolk. He rides at our local Pony Club Linked Centre, Hill Farm Stables.

Bertie's favourite poniy is Charlie Blue and his favourite instructor is Sarah (the proprietor).

He started riding in August 2023 and is now off the leadrein, trotting and cantering on his own!

He loves pole work, lots of changing the rein and rising trot. He has just learnt about the diagonal.

Bertie has gained his Pony Club E test certificate and enjoys both the class room and the practical lessons equally. His favourite thing to date was giving Dora a wash, correctly feeding a pony a carrot, learning about boots, bandages, poisnous plants, and points of the pony.

Bertie came 6th highest Centre at the Pony Club Quiz 2024 and qualifed for the Horse & Pony Care Competition in the same year!
